CCM British MMX Championship Round 6
Location: Dean Moor, Cumbria, UK
More Wins for Mitchell at Dean Moor
British Champion John Mitchell took the double win this weekend at the Dean Moor Motopark, further strengthening his grip on the CCM British MMX Championships. Still recovering from last month's knee and ankle injuries, the double win leaves John in a solid position as he aims to return to full fitness.
In race one, John started well and made fourth place into the first corner. As he began to apply pressure to the front riders he skilfully passed Tordoff, Duke and Winrow. He continued to press ahead and finished the race an incredible 13 seconds in front of second placed Ricky Tordoff.

Race two began in a similar style, with John coming around the first
corner in fourth and making the necessary passes to reach second place.
He played cat and mouse with Paul Winrow until the penultimate lap.
John calculated his move and quickly made his pass taking first place
with it. It was a very different race due to the rain halfway through.
This made the lap times six seconds slower per lap. It was one of the
most exciting races of the season with John and Paul Winrow gaining a
healthy lead on the rest of the field.
After taking the double win, John was ecstatic. "The track was fantastic and a credit to the organisers. I love this track. It's got plenty of passing opportunities and I made the most of them. My ATV World Yamaha YFZ450 was faultless all day and the new ITP Quadcross tyres were superb!"

John now leads the championship with a massive 13 point lead.
Round Seven of the CCM British MMX Championships takes place at
Chalgrove, Arncott, on the 5 th August. John is also pushing for the
top spot in the QH Pro Class on the weekend of 28 th July at
Holsworthy, Devon – hope to see you there!
